Mount Vaea and the tears of Apa'ula


The legend is about  Apa'ula (tears) at the foot of Mount Vaea because the husband turned into the mountain. The waterfall at the foot of the Mount Vaea symbolised the tears of Apa'ula

Part of the Dedication:
The purpose of writing this book is to aid in the preservation of tala o le vavau in the hope that stories such as this will continue to be shared with generations to come with the understanding that this particular story is but one version of this ancient myth and legend.
