Series: Everyday Heroes
Developing admiration for ordinary people's contributions to the community. Inspired by people who demonstrate amazing contributions and commitment to our communities this series aims to foster respect and understanding for those that help and protect us. This book explores the roles and respnsibilities, daily activities, equipment, training and important personal qualities that a firefighter requires to do their job. Young students are encouraged to think about their own rights and responsibilities, and how they can be an 'everyday hero'.
