Summary: When a miller boasts that his daughter can spin straw into gold, the king sends for the girl and shuts her in a tower with a spinning wheel and straw, giving her three days to transform the straw into gold or be executed. She is rescued by a strange old goblin who extracts a promise from her that will have terrible consequences in the future
